Early Music 101: What is Archival Research?

24 September @ 4:00 pm

The AMS Early Musics Skills and Resources Study Group is delighted to announce Early Music 101, a series of interactive online workshops aimed at advanced undergraduates and graduate students curious about musical practices before 1600, and at researchers interested in developing a secondary research area in early music. Early Music Research 101 will provide participants with a foundational understanding of what research in early music involves.

The first session, “What is Archival Research?,” will be instructed by Sarah Long and Catherine Saucier on 24 September 2026 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
