Nancy Eagle Lindley, 1936-2021

The AMS regrets to announce that Nancy Eagle Lindley passed away on 12 July 2021 after a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer. A pianist, musicologist, and long-time AMS member, Lindley completed her PhD in musicology at the University of Maryland and had wide-ranging musical interests, from Indonesian gamelan to jazz, hip-hop, the American Songbook, and avant-garde new music.
