Call for Part-time Program Assistant, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022

The AMS seeks a part-time Program Assistant to support annual meeting organizing and other programs during the 2022 program year (Sep 2021 - May 2022).

Reporting to the AMS Office Manager and working with the Communications and Programs Coordinator, the Program Assistant will assist with preparing the meeting platform, organizing program materials, generating reports, updating the website, and performing general administrative work, and must be available to work during the Annual Meeting event dates (11-12 and 20-21 November 2021).

Candidates should possess strong organizational skills; have an interest in non-profit management or arts administration; and be comfortable using or learning to use digital content management systems; knowledge of Excel, HTML, and databases a plus. Existing interest and training in musicology preferred.

The Program Assistant will work remotely with staff members and participate in regular video conferences, communicating with team members through e-mail, Zoom, and shared documents on Google Drive and Dropbox.

The Program Assistant will be expected to work 12-15 hours a week. Compensation has been set at $22/hour.
