Mark Katz Receives Frances Densmore Prize

The American Musicological Society (AMS) is pleased to announce that Mark Katz’s article, “The Great War, the Little String, and the Transformation of Modern Violin Playing,” Journal of the American Musicological Society (2024) 77 (1): 65–102, has been awarded the Frances Densmore Prize by the American Musical Instrument Society.
