JAMS Releases Vol. 79 Issue Supplement: Touching Music, Making Musicology
About the Supplemental Issue
Coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the “Declaration of Independence,” the Journal of the American Musicological Society (JAMS) has published a special supplemental issue titled, “Touching Music, Making Musicology.” In this supplemental issue, the first of two special colloquies to be published in 2026, authors reflect on objects that speak to aspects of American music, followed by more substantial considerations of American musicology.
This issue is free to read on the University of California Press website.
