The Roland Jackson Memorial Grant honors long-time AMS member, Roland Jackson, and is intended to support work in the field of musical analysis. Grants provide funds to support the production of a work project in musical analysis, such as an article, book, digital resource, performance, or syllabus. Grants of up to $2000 will be awarded.

Application
Applications to the Roland Jackson Memorial Grant must include:
- A prospectus of no more than 1,000 words, explaining the work that has been done thus far and outlining the plan of research (including travel, if relevant)
- A detailed budget and explanation of the expenses to which the grant would be applied. Wherever possible, expenses should be itemized. Grant funds can also be used to support living expenses during the project.
- A curriculum vitae
- One letter of recommendation

Eligible projects include research, print, or digital works that engage directly with the interpretation and realization of musical works, including through scores, recordings, and performance practice. Applicants need not be members of the AMS.
