Donate The American Musicological Society (AMS) is sad to announce that Jennifer Anne Williams Brown, a former AMS member, passed away on 2 December 2025 after battling ALS. Williams Brown previously taught at the University of Rochester, Louisiana State University, and Grinnell College. She received grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Delmas Foundation, and she was awarded the Claude V. Palisca Award in 2008.
