Davis Badaszewski Receives Deane L. Root Student Paper Award

The AMS is pleased to announce that the recipient of this year’s Deane L. Root Student Paper Award, sponsored by the Center for American Music in the University of Pittsburgh Library System and honoring an exceptional paper presented by a student at an AMS Allegheny Chapter meeting, is Davis Badaszewski. Davis presented his paper “This is the Record of John by Orlando Gibbons: A Guide to Performance and Registration Practices” at the Allegheny Chapter’s spring meeting at Gettysburg College on 28 February 2026.
