Ibero-American Music Readings: A Discussion on Latest Publications

25 April @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

During this event, we will delve into the exploration of musical modernism in Mexico in the long 20th century.

Our distinguished guests for this event are scholars Roberto Kolb-Neuhaus (UNAM), author of Silvestre Revueltas: Sounds of a Political Passion (Oxford University Press, 2023), and Ana Alonso-Minutti (University of New Mexico), author of Mario Lavista: Mirrors of Sounds (Oxford University Press, 2023). They will present their respective publications and engage in dialogue with our guest respondents, Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez (Eastman School of Music) and Marcella Ernest (University of New Mexico). Finally, there will be a Q&A session open to all.

This event is free and open to all AMS members. Registration is required.
